COMPETENCY ASSESSMENT & REGISTRATION PANEL POLICY

1. Purpose

To ensure fair, consistent, and rigorous assessment of applicants.

2. Assessment Panel

2.1 Panels shall:

a. Include at least two qualified practitioners
b. Include one independent member where possible

3. Assessment Methods

May include:

a. Qualification review
b. Interview
c. Case study review
d. Supervisor reports

4. Decision Outcomes

a. Approved
b. Approved with conditions
c. Deferred (further evidence required)
d. Declined

5. Criteria

Applicants must demonstrate:

a. Competence across all domains
b. Ethical understanding
c. Cultural competence
d. Fitness to practise

6. Appeals

Applicants may appeal decisions through an independent review.

7. Record Keeping

All decisions must be:

a. Documented
b. Stored securely
